Special weather advisories

1. A Heat Wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in places
over Chris Hani, Joe Gqabi and northern parts of Alfred Nzo Districts
Municipalities in the Eastern Cape, until Wednesday (04/02/2026).

2. Hot and humid weather will result in very uncomfortable conditions
over the north-eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

3. Very hot to extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions are expected
in places over the Nama-Khoi Local Municipality in the Northern Cape,
as well as the Beaufort West Local Municipality in the Western Cape.

Limpopo

Morning fog in places in the south, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers, except in the Lowveld.

North-West Province

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy, with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, except the extreme south-west.

Free State

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the east and along the Lesotho border

Northern Cape

Fine over the interior in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot in places in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the south, but in the evening in the extreme north-west.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-easterly.

Western Half Of The Eastern Cape

Partly cloudy and warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers over the interior. It will become cloudy along the coast with evening rain and drizzle.

Kwazulu-Natal

Morning fog in places over the interior, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the west and southern parts.
