Warnings

1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over
most parts of the Northern Cape, eastern parts of the
Western Cape, in places over the western and central
parts of the Eastern Cape, western parts of the Free
State, in places over the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal,
south-eastern parts of Mpumalanga as well as the northern
and western parts of Limpopo.

Special weather advisories

1. A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected
in places over the Chris Hani, O.R Tambo and Alfred Nzo
District Municipalities in the Eastern Cape until Saturday,
and in places over the northern parts of KwaZulu Natal
until Sunday, as well as in places over Mpumalanga, except
along the Escarpment until Monday.
2. Very hot to extremely hot and uncomfortable conditions are
expected in places over the Central and Little Karoo District
Municipalities in the Western Cape, as well as the eastern
parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
3. Extremely uncomfortable and humid conditions are expected in
places south of the Escarpment in the Eastern Cape.

Kwazulu-Natal

Morning fog patches in the north-east, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme north-west. It will be warm in places in the south. Mpumalanga

Fine and warm to hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon over Highveld with isolated thundershowers over the south-western parts. It will be very hot in places in the Lowveld.

Limpopo

Fine and hot to very hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon thundershowers in the south-western parts.

North-West Province

Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.

Free State

Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.

Northern Cape

Fine in the central parts, otherwise partly cloudy and hot to very hot, but cool to warm in places in the west. It will be windy in the east. The wind along the coast will be light southerly at first, becoming moderate south-westerly.

Western Cape

Morning fog patches in places in the western parts, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot but very hot to extremely hot in places in the eastern parts. It will be cool along the south-west coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly in the west and south-west, but moderate southerly along the south coast. The expected UVB sunburn index: Very High

Western Half Of The Eastern Cape

Cloudy with morning fog in places south of the escarpment, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places over the interior. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light and variable early morning, otherwise light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong south-westerly from the evening.

Eastern Half Of The Eastern Cape

Cloudy with morning fog along the coast and adjacent interior, otherwise fine and warm to hot, but very hot in places south of the escarpment. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon. The wind along the coast will be light and variable in the south in the morning, otherwise moderate to fresh north-easterly.
