A heat wave with persistently high temperatures is expected in places over the northern parts of Eastern
Cape and over the northern parts of KwaZulu-Natal until Saturday as well as in places over the Mpumalanga
Highveld and southern parts of the Mpumalanga Lowveld until Monday (19/10/2026).
B. Hot to extremely hot conditions resulting in extremely uncomfortable conditions are expected in the north-
eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga Lowveld and over Limpopo on Monday.

Western Cape

Partly cloudy and cool to warm, but cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior but scattered in the extreme south-western parts. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-westerly reaching strong between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas at first where it will become fresh to strong south-westerly to southerly from mid-morning spreading north and south in the afternoon. Fine and warm, but partly cloudy and cool along the coast. It will become cloudy with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior from the evening. The wind along the coast will be moderate south-westerly.

Partly cloudy and warm to hot, but cool in places along the coast and adjacent interior, becoming cloudy with isolated showers and thundershowers from the evening. The wind along the coast will be strong to fresh south-westerly in the morning, becoming moderate from late morning.

Kwazulu-Natal

Fine and hot to very hot, but extremely hot in places in the north-east. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers in the south. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong southerly to south-westerly south of Durban by mid-morning spreading to Kosi Bay by evening.
